Prosocial Norm Emergence in Multi-agent Systems

چکیده

Multi-agent systems provide a basis for developing of autonomous entities and thus find application in variety domains. We consider setting where not only the member agents are adaptive but also multi-agent system viewed as an entity its own right is adaptive. Specifically, social structure can be reflected norms among members. It well recognized that arise society always beneficial to focus on prosocial norms, which help achieve positive outcomes often guidance act manner takes into account welfare others. we propose Cha, framework emergence norms. Unlike previous norm approaches, Cha supports continual change (agents may enter leave) dynamism (norms when environment changes). Importantly, incorporate decision-making based inequity aversion theory, reflecting intuition guilt arising from being antisocial. In this manner, brings together two important themes prosociality: by individuals fairness system-level outcomes. demonstrate via simulation improve aggregate societal gains

Infection-Based Norm Emergence in Multi-Agent Complex Networks

We propose a computational model that facilitates agents in a MAS to collaboratively evolve their norms to reach the best norm conventions. Our approach borrows from the social contagion phenomenon to exploit the notion of positive infection: agents with good behaviors become infectious to spread their norms in the agent society. By combining infection and innovation, our computational model he...

Monitoring norm violations in multi-agent systems

The use of norms is widely accepted as an effective approach to control and regulate the behaviour of agents in multiagent systems. Existing work on normative multi-agent systems has mainly focussed on how norms can influence the behaviour of agents by assuming that the agents’ behaviours are perfectly monitored. In this paper we focus on monitoring mechanisms, propose different types of monito...

Emergence in Cognitive Multi-Agent Systems

Emergence is a hot topic of the present research in the domain of complex systems, especially connected with the modelling and simulation of large multi-agent systems. Emergent properties have been obtained in systems inspired from nature – ants, wasps, etc – but also in simple artificial systems like Cellular Automata – obtaining gliding structures – and Transporting Agents – obtaining traffic...

Norm creation, spreading and emergence: A survey of simulation models of norms in multi-agent systems

Norms in human societies are expectations of behaviours of the individuals. In human societies, there are several types of norms such as moral norms, social norms and legal norms (laws). In multi-agent systems, software agents are modelled as possessing characteristics and behaviour borrowed from human societies. In order to design and develop robust artificial agent societies, it is important ...

Distributed norm management for multi-agent systems

Norms explicitly represent prohibitions, permissions and obligations associated with software agents, changing as agents act and interact in pursuit of their goals. Norms provide means of regulating open and heterogeneous multi-agent systems; however, in order to truly reflect the nature of multi-agent systems, norms should be managed in a distributed fashion. A centralized account of norms cre...
